When I first began this site, I was in the middle of pursuing a Master's Degree in School Library Media while working full time and expecting my 1st baby. I finished my degree mid-December 2017, and I now have a 2-year-old that is full of life...and sass.  At the present moment, I'm still holding my full-time position at the University I have been working at for 7 years.  I am actively looking for a local high school librarian position.  But those don't come around very often. 

At the moment, I am trying to balance reading all the YA books in my never-ending TBR pile, plus my book club books, and then throwing in some advanced reader copies from NetGalley. Crazy?  Why yes, I think so.

My hope for this blog is to introduce myself and others to the best literature out there.  I myself tend to lean more towards the YA genre because I feel it is one that is filled with the most creative and intelligent storytelling.  I do try to mix up my reading with some other genres from time-to-time.  With that being said, I am open to suggestions!

In the future, I will also be doing some fun posts that are not just book reviews so look out for those!
